The Morongo Unified School District provides special education services for eligible students through a variety of implemented programs.

Student needs, whether educational, medical, emotional, or behavioral are the focus when developing an Individual Education Plan to promote student success within the school setting. While not all Special Education Programs are located at each of the 17 school sites; appropriate services are available for each student as determined by their Individual Education Plan. This may require a child to attend a school outside their regular attendance area. In these situations, the district will provide the transportation.

Although the Morongo Unified School District has many programs, the district does have to contract out for some designated services. For example, if a child needs services from an OT-Occupational Therapist, the service would be provided through contracts with outside agencies. The agencies would provide services for the student's needs and the school district covers the cost.
